New Things Coming……

It’s been a busy few months here at hectic central but I’m happy to say that things are moving along nicely. Yes, I could spend less time dreaming about a move to a cronky old run-down house in the country and watching mad renovation videos but on the whole, I’m achieving many things and I’m very proud of what I’m doing.

I’ve started doing a few local craft fairs and I just love doing that. Chatting to people, telling them about the A Dog Called Bear series of children’s books, hearing the positive feedback about the jewellery, books and my artwork. I love it! It’s so good to connect with people, hear their stories and watch them leave my little stall with something unique.

My little craft stall

I have found that in my travels, I keep being asked about arty gift sets, so I have put a couple together. Yes, my workspace now resembles the back of a busy Post office counter, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Firstly, we have the Children’s Perfect Painting Gift Set.

This lovely set contains everything your young artist needs to create their own artwork. In the box you’ll find a set of 6 x 5ml water based acrylic paint ]chid safe] a mini canvas and easel, a little wooden slice and easel, a blank card and envelope, 3 paintbrushes [1 finer brush for more detailed work] a colour mixing chart, a paint palette and a complimentary bookmark [because everyone needs a bookmark!]

I love this little set; it encourages creativity and imagination and doesn’t involve screen time!

The second set is a Sip and Paint/Date Night Gift Set.

Whether you’re planning date night with a partner, spending time with friends or just want some family time with the older children, this set has just what you need to create fun memories!

It contains 2 mini canvases and easels, 2 canvas boards, 2 blank cards and envelopes, 4 paintbrushes, 2 paint palettes, a colour mixing chart, a little chocolate treat and 12 x 5ml quality acrylic paints, 6 of which are iridescent to give your painting that something special.

Take the time to chat, laugh and create something memorable!

These are heading to the website this week and I’m so excited for them to be added to the things I already offer. I’m lucky enough to have a space in Café 19 in Wakefield, where people can go and have some delicious homecooked food and a browse of the shelves and see these in person.

I’m working on putting together more gift sets, and will hopefully be using a local woodcrafter to make me some wooden Bear blank shapes….. fingers crossed!
